Great Case Separator at a Great Price!

Review for
RCBS Rotary Case/Media Cleaning Kits
I've been using this RCBS case separator for years now despite reloading on a big red press. It's super simple, easy to use, and effective. With this separator it isn't necessary to use the slotted lid on your tumbler to drain the bulk of the media out before removing your cases (thereby raising a lot of heavy-metal laden dust) - you can dump everything directly into the black basket, close it up, then turn the handle a few times to make sure your media has all filtered out. The design of the basket ensures that so long as the green lid is closed, the inner basket is closed as well.
My only gripe is that the hinges are all plastic (to be expected) and the plastic is showing some white stress marks on the green hinges. If they break I figure I can upgrade them with metal hinges from a hardware shop.
One tip: when pouring the media back into your storage container, it's
easiest if you separate the two green halves and pour the media into the top lid; depending on the mouth of your container, the circular bottom of the bottom lid can cause a sudden avalanche of polishing media as you pour from it, potentially spilling media on the floor. This doesn't typically happen with the non-stepped top lid.
