Still Testing With New Upper

So far, this magazine seems to work well. Using with an existing self assembled PSA lower and array of parts. Upper is a recently purchased 18 inch Aero 6.5 Grendal intended for hunting. I've run four boxes of various ammo, and only issue is with AAC Ballistic tip not being picked up when cycling a new round. Based on what I'm seeing from the other ammo and ejection patterning, I think it's probably a case of the upper + ammo being over gassed. Guessing the bolt and buffer spring are outpacing the magazine spring. Already using a T3 buffer weight, so next step would have to be an adjustable gas block. Again, at this point I don't have any reason to believe it's a magazine issue. Would likely purchase again.

MDT 6 position Carbine Buffer Tube
I ordered this to go with a MDT LSS chassis. The picture shows the buffer tube having a traditional flattened off threaded end. When I opened the package, it was more like the Aero enhanced buffer tube with bottom extension and a groove for the buffer retaining pin. This prevented the buffer tube from being threaded very far into the chassis, and the tube was very loose fitting. I had an unfinished Geissele lower, so I figured I'd see how it worked with an AR lower. The MDT tube still felt fairly loose when installed on the Geissele lower. The threads caught, but just too much play. I thought about sending it back to OP, but I had already thrown away the packaging the day before. I was happy with the MDT chassis and grip. Not so much with the buffer tube.

I've bought two of the Alumina Flip Lens Cover sets, and both have worked well so far this deer season. I hated keeping up with the rubber bikini style lens covers than attracted dirt. These Alumina Flip covers are solid and easy to manipulate, even with gloves. They are a bit of a pain to get lined up perfect when installing, but take your time and make sure you don't cross thread. Well worth the effort.
