Not as fancy as some of the $400 slides, it has a great fit and finish. This slide appears to work perfectly. No sharp edges and good grip on the cocking serrations. I'd buy this again. It seems to be an exceptional value.
Perfect fit and excellent finish

This is easily the best handguard I have purchased. Fit and finish is great. Length is perfect for getting to my adjustable gas block and it's probably the best barrel nut and attaching system of anything out there. Only thing I don't like is having to shim to get the gas tube slot lined up but they provide the shims. So it's fine.

I've used these comps on 556 and 30 cal builds and they're simply the best performing comps for the money. Actually, better than really just about any. I have a Terminator that I haven't shot yet and a JP that is also excellent. However, both are many times more expensive

A little rough

There were a bunch of machining burrs on the slide that needed to be polished off to get it to work smoothly. Most notably on the hole for the firing pin safety plunger as it couldn't even be installed. Had to get in there with a Dremel tool and polishing compound to smooth it off - which was tough on such a small hole. Also on the channels for the rails. Rough burrs we're present that needed some polishing. After that, it seems to be smooth as silk.
Chamber too tight

The chamber is too tight and about 5-10% of quality factory ammo wedges in and won't extract or go into battery. I've run about 300 rounds through, which is extremely time consuming with having to pry a live round out about once per magazine, naively thinking a break in period might help. I have one other l2d barrel that is fine. I wish I had put this barrel in and discovered it right away rather than letting it sit on my bench for months because I'd have returned it.
