The Aems is a great overall optic! Feels robust and reliable. I like the shake to wake features and that it is NV capable. I have yet to try it out though. The 3x magnifier is great! But the flip to side mounting mechanism is lacking. After 1st use, it became floppy and would not tighten up despite any adjustments i made. The solar power feature is great to have as well. If you had no batteries at all, it's a great failsafe but also extends battery life tremendously, im sure. A lot of optics dont look great under magnification, but this optic looks very crisp under 3x magnification im sure it would still look good even under 5-6x magnification. I would definitely buy another Aems for different applications. Came pretty much zeroed on my 16" barrel ar. I was able to still run flip up sights in standard positioning just have to flip the magnifier to the side. Also some people mentioned not being able to flip the magnifier to the left but i was able to do so. Great overall optic for a not so bad price

I got the gold nitride option. Very nice looking BCG for not bad a price, feels reliable. I've only run 60rds through this BCG so i don't have much time with it. Haven't had an issue yet though. I'll definitely update once i get 500rds in. I seen some people mentioned this BCG seized and wouldn't go into battery. I made sure when i installed to over lubricate the upper and BCG. Cycled it plenty. Has run great so far!
