good alternative to magpul polymer offset

This has one more slot of rail space and is more rigid than the magpul offset rail, and is not as tall as the magpul one, not that the magpul one is bad. But if you need a little more rail space and rigidity, this is the way to go.
nice glass and turrets

The glass is nice and clear, the turrets are nice and tactile, good strong clicks. The illumination is good from just light enough to know its there to very bright. It is second focal plane so your reticle measurements are accurate at full zoom 4x.

Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8x24mm Rifle Scope
Really like The 1-8× optic. 1power is quick to focus with your eye, red dot fast. At 7-8 power the eye relief shortens a little and you'll have get a little closer. In my opinion its not too much. I have it mounted on my m1a. The reticle is matched to 5.56 loads. But you can use their website to calculate each hold over for your load. So far so good with matching the website is spot on for the holdovers but I've not tested past 400yards.(You'll need to have it on full power 2nd focal plane) Plan to put one on my m16 clone and try it out. Like the illumination, dark red for the first settings, then gets bright. The only thing im not a fan of is 1/2 moa adjustments.
