I bought this to complete an upper receiver build. It came complete and fit perfectly in my mil spec upper. Fit and finish are great, no issues putting it together. It works as well as any other FA I've ever used and is better than standard issue. The shape of the button is large enough to apply force when needed without sticking out like a wing. I reload with a lot of "free range" brass (Yes, I'm an unapologetic Brass Goblin who will gladly pick up any brass you want to leave laying on the ground). Because I use tumbled used brass from a variety of other people's rifles, I sometimes get some sticky ones until they have been fire-formed to my chambers and re-resized (I use an RCBS, AR Small Base full length resizing die, but some brass is harder to squeeze back into shape than others). A good quality forward assist is nice to have when that happens.

I bought this parts kit along with the Wilson Dust Cover. The parts matched perfectly and made installation a breeze. Fit and finish are above average and the machining was spot on for size.
Building an upper from parts is not rocket surgery, but it can be difficult if the parts are not well made. These parts are definitely well made and high quality. I have learned to expect that from Wilson and Optics Planet.
