This unit has alot of wobble in it. From my understanding, the wobbly stance is to help level the rifle by using forward pressure to "load" the unit, which seems to do a good job if that's what it's designed to do. I'm just not used to having this much "slop" in the other's I have used or owned. I currently have two other bipods, one Harris knock off, and a Magpul. As you can tell by that admission, I'm frugal when it comes to bipods. And this checked the box on that. But, honestly it's just not sturdy enough to trust leaving a rifle unattended, resting on the bipod. And that's just a no go for me. It's probably a little better than the 3 stars I rated it, but the other ratings were 5 star ratings. And even though this product is very inexpensive, and does a decent job of what it's designed for, it doesn't deserve a 5 star rating, except for maybe stabilizing an airsoft rifle!

If you have 1/4" of clearance between the bottom of your scope (which has to have a flat spot under the turrets, which most scopes do) and the top of your picatiny rail, this is a HUGE time saver to help level a scope! I'm kind of obsessive about leveling scopes, and this gadget makes the job SO EASY that it's almost fun. It's not going to work on every gun, and every optic. It doesn't work on a 1 piece mount, or dovetail rails. So, it may not be the "buy it to use it once" kind of purchase. But, if you have 1/4" clearance, and a flat spot on the bottom of your optic, this gadget gets you 99.9% where you need to be before you even start looking at your lazer or bubble level. No matter what system you use for leveling your optics, this is going to get you almost dead on before you attach anything other than the scope and rings. I only wish I would have bought it sooner!

Element Optics has a great reputation for having ultra clear glass, and this Helix 4-16x44 definately lives up to its reputation! The scope is as clear as anything I've looked through! The Helix is Element's entry level scope, and I really don't see how they could improve on it, except for the higher magnification in their high end scopes for people shooting at 500+ yard targets. There were cheaper options I could have gone with that offered the same magnification as the Helix, but I'm extremely pleased with this scope! I would definitely buy it again!
