Ok if the title got you…here’s the dirt. I always wanted a legit M4 (because that’s what I carried in the military) However, I never wanted to go through the NFA BS. So with recent 2A legal progress I decided to play. I purchased a M4 Commando lower receiver and a LE6921CK upper (currently running with “pistol brace” so by law it’s a pistol not an SBR. When we have clarity and guidance for SBRs then I’ll consider changing to a buttstock and making it an SBR. Next I wanted an FRT so I could have select fire (frrrrrrrrrrrrt mode). I bought Disruptor because of the lighter trigger pull. (I did test with Lyman trigger pull gauge and am getting 3-4 pound averages). Those readings were newly installed never fired. Additionally, I liked the ambidextrous selector (I’m a lefty). I have one criticism with the selector, the provided screws are too short and don’t grab enough threads. One side stripped slightly the other side loosened when I ran it. So I replaced the provided screws with M3-0.5X10mm machine screws and used 243 Locktite. Problem solved. All that and you’re still wondering how I got the FRT into the receiver? I milled out the sear block. Bottom line is I milled the sear block down to the shelf and cut the sides pretty even with the rest of the receiver. Then I dropped the FRT right in. The lower came with a milspec M16 BCG and I replaced the H buffer with an H2. And….,,it runs perfect!!! I gave 4 stars solely because of the short screws on the selector switches. I would r
