I knew before buying that this wasn’t a “safe” safe as in it’s more like a small gun locker or cabinet. And still I was surprised at just how thin the sheet metal is. My bad I should have researched more…..

The safes exterior has a few places where the enamel didnt adhere to the metal and bubbled up and flaked off. To me this isnt a big deal since it’s not gonna be a living room center piece or anything.

The interior panel that covers the door and all the locking mechanisms had a few sheet metal screws that were half way tightened. Not really a good sign of a production quality. Also I found a ball bearing rolling around the bottom of the safe. The ball bearing was a little rusty which means not the greatest material used. And a poor or a lack of final product inspection. Oh and it’s possible one of the safe components is missing a ball bearing.

The good is the locker works great! Easy to program and the finger reader opens for the correct fingers only. The key pad has no issues and I’m completely happy with this aspect of the safe….now hopefully it just lasts.

I haven’t fired any rounds through this thing yet but I want my Optics Planet review coupon �. So everything on the barrel looks great! From the flawless looking chamber to the barrel extension (bolt lugs). The chrome lining at both ends is seamless with no chips or spill over.

I ordered mine with the low profile gas block installed (why not) and it to looks good with the taper pin hole drilled just right in the barrel and gas block. The taper pin came partially pushed in just to hold the gas block in place which I thought was nice since you’d need to remove the gas block anyway for the barrel nut.

I got the 12.5” barrel over the 10.5 or so just for the little extra dwell time. Not a big deal just my preference. I wanted a short, chrome lined, cold hammer forged barrel made by a highly reputable company that could sling a lot of kill sticks before wearing out.

I wear a size 12 running and hiking shoe. I ordered a size 12 XA Pro and they fit great.

The XA pros are light weight compared to similar 5.11 shoes. The XA pros are also better
made than any of the three types of 5.11 shoes/boots I've owned which all quickly wore out.
I like 5.11 clothes but their shoes are cheaply made.

The XA pros are water proof and kept my feet dry while walking in heel deep water.

I like the quick lace-up feature and haven't had any issues with the laces loosening or getting snagged
By brush after tucking up the ends in the elastic pocket on the shoe tung.

These are expensive shoes but if they continue holding up well I'll be buying another pair when they eventually wear out.
