Nice, but...

I'll admit that I have two of these and they're fine optics. They hold zero well and the large window makes it easy to co-witness your iron sights if you need to. But $600 for a red dot when you can get a Deltapoint Pro for 33% less?? I have a DP Pro and it works just as well as the SRO, albeit with a smaller window. I also have a couple of SIG Romeos that cost half the price and also works just fine. Honestly, I think the astronomical price is due largely to name recognition. One star deducted for that. A second star deducted because to mount the SRO on a Glock MOS or Springfield OSP (two extremely popular handgun brands) you have to buy a separate screw kit. Two screws for $20 + shipping. Probably costs Trijicon 5 cents to make them. C'mon Trijicon, for $600 can't you include the needed screws too? Jeez.

Motion sensing feature is a fail!!!
Written on Oct 09, 2020
As happens sometimes, too much technology can yield product unreliability. Such is the case with the Deltapoint Pro. One of its "features" is that after 5 minutes of inactivity the dot shuts off to save battery life, supposedly reactivating with any input of motion. Doesn't work properly. I shoot Carry Optics in IDPA matches and found this out the hard way. First of all, the auto shutoff is only supposed to activate after 5 minutes of being totally still. My G34 was in my holster in between rounds as I moved about, talking to other competitors and walking the courses. So it was never totally still. It should never have deactivated but it did. Secondly, it does not reactivate with any motion as stated in the manual. I have to shake it, almost violently, to get the thing to wake up. Imagine my dismay when the start timer sounded and I pulled my G34, only to have no dot! Worse yet, the base is too tall to allow me to use the iron sights. Getting the stupid red dot back on took several seconds. It didn't cost me the match - I wasn't in the running - but if I had been it would have been a match killer. During practice it did it again, twice, and one time came back on (after violent shaking) at the dimmest setting. I could barely see the dot. I had to push the button several times to get it back to the proper brightness setting. When the S.O. calls "shooter load and make ready", I now have to incorporate making sure the dot is on and at the proper illumination into my routine befor

Good powder measure

Review for
RCBS Chargemaster Lite
This unit is fine for general purpose reloading. I own one and have used it for a long time, but I recently replaced it with another system that has much better sensitivity and accuracy because I've begun loading 6BR and 6CM rounds for precision rifle shooting. The CM Lite only has +/- 0.1 grain accuracy, but it's 1/4 the price of my new system. Unless you're loading for precision rifle, super accurate dispensing doesn't matter all that much. For the price, the CM Lite is a good powder dispenser. I'll keep mine around for a backup and for shotgun and AR-15 reloading.

Great Scope
Written on Jan 19, 2020
Excellent image clarity on par with my Nightforce scopes. I currently have this scope mounted on my F/TR rifle. Truthfully, that isn't the best application for this scope since the EBR-2C reticle is a bit busy for long range target shooting unless you keep it on the highest magnification. I'll eventually replace it with a Vortex Golden Eagle, but for now it does a fine job. Holds zero really well and setting the zero stop is relatively easy as long. This is the only 2FP scope I own. For hunters and those who shoot targets using hold overs and wind holds, a 2FP scope is ideal. For shooting targets at known distances by dialing the turrets, a 2FP scope is a bit of overkill. But the bottom line is that this is a top quality rifle scope with excellent glass and repeatable turrets.

High Quality Rings

Review for
NightForce XTRM 30mm Ring Set
I put these on my .223 F/TR rifle. They are more than adequate for that purpose and have not moved at all. Mine are the 4-screw version. If you shoot a higher caliber, probably the 6-ring would be better. Either way, these are well made scope rings on par with Warne, Seekins, Talley, etc.
