I have been toying with the idea of purchasing a red dot scope and since having some great experience with Vortex products decided to try out the Vortex StrikeFire II Red Dot scope. I have alway been keen on long range optics for my AR platforms so when I got the StrikeFire II product, I as pleasantly surprised to see the quality of the glass and the clarity of the field. The on/off and intensity buttons seem a little hard to actuate, but with time and practice I think they will be fine. I would recommend this red dot for any first time red dot buyer.

I recently received four (4) pair of Vortex Viper HD 10X42 Binoculars as gifts for my four (4) sons. I had been shopping for a Christmas gift to give to each of them for some time when I saw an advertisement extoling the virtues of the Vortex lifetime warranty. I was so impressed I asked my brother what he thought of his Vortex Fury 5000. He was elated with them and I tried them out and found them to be a very high quality. Planet Optics emailed me on a sale of the Veiper model and I cannot say how pleased I was and my sons were to receive this fine product. The edges of the field of view are sharp and consistent and the finish, clarity and operation are right up there with the most expensive binoculars I have looked at. I would certainly recommend them to anyone wanting to experience great optics for the hunting or just viewing. P.S. Since receiving the first Vortex binoculars, I have ordered and received my own pair of Vortex Fury 5000 Range Finding binoculars.
