Great barrel can’t beat the quality for the price
Written on Aug 27, 2022
This is my second Rosco barrel, my first being an 18” SS in .223 wylde. Like my purebred barrel, this 16” bloodline as far as looks go, stands out the second I open the box. The nitrided finish is flawless, almost glossy but not quite, but smooth and consistent and looks like glass. Looking down the barrel at the locking lugs, again flawless fit and finish, consistent rifling all the way through. My 18” was sub moa and was a better shot than I, I’m sure this 16” will be the same. These have the look and performance of $3-400.00 barrels at about half the price. They have me as a loyal customer. I always make sure to match these barrels up with their bcg’s I figure I can’t go wrong that way and don’t have to worry about incorrect headspacing. Optics Planet delivered early on these, they’ve stepped up their game this late part of summer ‘22 and I’m getting my packages in 3-4 days rather than. 7-10.

very nice finish, lightweight, strong

The fluting makes this stronger, you can feel it. The black coating exceeds the quality of the aero upper it's paired with, have not yet put on a stock to see if the 8 position is better than 6, but I'm confident I will like it

Great Fit, Awesome finish

I'm confident this castle but won't back out on
It's own. While I'm a firm believer in "you get what you pay for" this was a little pricy for what it is. The anodizing or whatever coating is on these parts is smooth, consistent and is a satin black finish, it's also tough. The ratcheting feature is unobtrusive and genius. Honestly I think they should be charging 25 bucks for these, not 40+

Everything fits perfectly

CMMG, Inc AR-15 Lower Reciever Parts Kit
These mil-spec parts all fit perfectly in my lightweight build. Finish and size were all within spec. I know CMMG makes high quality products and that was the main influence in my choice to use them. The price isn’t the lowest but doesn’t break the bank. I’m sure I could have paid 20 bucks less, but 20 bucks is a small price to pay for peace of mind.

Great looking and functions well

My only fear for this part was that it would look or feel like cheap plastic. It does not. There is no flex when held in the hand and the open spaces are spaced in a manner that gives the grip a solid feel. Screws in perfectly to a Tnarms 80% polymer lower. Detent pin/spring hole lines up perfectly.

nice for lightweight build

I put this on a tnarms 80% hybrid lower that's the platform for an 18" lightweight .223/5.56 at-15 with aluminum upper. Just saving weight in a few areas where I can, knowing to keep a decent chunk of metal around my bcg. Lightweight is cool, but reliability is everything.
Optics Planet is always a pleasure to deal with.

Perfect Mil-Spec Parts

CMMG, Inc AR-15 Lower Reciever Parts Kit
The CMMG lower parts kit I bought fit perfectly into my tnarms 80% hybrid lower. I'm building a lightweight rifle length ar. What else can I say, the parts are perfect, right tolerances, some stuff was a little on the tight side but only on the holes I made in the lower.
