This is a great adapter for milled AKs, but it took some work. To successfully install this on my Arsenal SAM7R61 I had to file the mating piece quite a bit -- just a normal metal file, no fancy machinery. That being said, it works! I got it to fit nice and snug, it fits commercial M4 carbine stocks, and importantly to me it did not require removal of the bottom tang -- milled Arsenal receivers are pretty valuable, and I wasn't looking forward to damaging mine. This product is a great option for individuals looking to modernize their AK pattern rifles. I would recommend it to anybody with the determination and handiness to do the fitting required to make it work; that being said, I don't consider myself terribly handy, so most people should be able to do this.
