I looked at the Burris Fullfield IV series in the store. It's built like a tank. One thing though, it says it has an illuminated reticle, but that's not accurate. The reticle is not illuminated, rather, it has a red dot in the middle. Pretty neat, I've never seen that before. Might be cool. This scope is perfect for an AR or a short to medium range hunting rifle. Cons, eye relief is not knocking it out of the park, but it's not horrible either.
Hi quality cordura & stitching. Needed molle on the back & move the Coletac tag somewhere else. Put it on the back or the flap. I cut mine off. Needs a storage spot for the extra caps, this just fits the wrenches.
This thing is built like a TANK. Has blue, green IR markers and regular flashlight. Good replacement for chemlight markers. Get it as a backup or just for GP.Bombproof. Replaces older 1960's - 1980's strobelight. Another EPIC WIN for Streamlight.
Good scope. Clear glass. On lower powers the reticle is hard to see, it's too tiny for old eyes. Once you hit 3x it's fine. I heard concerns about the eyebox and when mounted I had the same problem. Switched to an adjustable stock and it was much improved and acceptable. Eye relief is good. This is a lot of scope for the money and the Gen III is a significant build improvement over the GEN II versions, this justifies the additional $100 price difference. Would very much like to see the AK/.300BLK reticle on a Platinum 1x8 with 34mm tube. I'd even go for a 1x8 Platinum with a Christmas Tree reticle I can dope sheet.
