Very Nice Piece of Equipment
Written on Aug 08, 2020
Looked at a few spotting scopes in the same price range and found the Burris to be slightly better glass IMO. Easy to set up, like the fine focus knob and the accessories that came in the box. Neoprene cover fits well and should add a bit of protection sitting inside the day pack.
It is heavy but pretty well balanced. I've set up a tall trigger stick with a tripod head to accept the spotting scope, which will be okay for hunts requiring quick changes between the spotting scope and rifle rest. However, Ive been using a Manfrotto tripod that is much more substantial in supporting the scope and is my preferred method of using the scope. Once you locate your target on 20x you can zoom in and just have to slightly adjust the fine focus. Color and clarity is very good. Low light its best to use 20x as objects just don't jump out.
My main use for this will be on trips out west locating & evaluating mule deer but have also used it to view the recent comet, wildlife on my property and on the rifle range. The warranty is outstanding. Although it's footprint is a bit big and it is heavy, I expect that hours of continuous glassing over miles of terrain will be a lot nicer than hand held 10x binos.
It is a little pricey, but with the discount coupon and free shipping it is a decent deal. Also free shipping called for 7 to 10 days and it arrived in 2 days!

Not what I needed

Review for
BogPod Adapt-A-Pod
I purchased this in an attempt to use the Bog Pod great divide tripod head on my trigger stick. As it turned out the Great Divide does not require the Adapt a Pod and cannot be used. I researched what I needed to accomplish the conversion but as it turned out I missed the mark. Will be returning for store credit. I can't say how this would work with other Bog Pod attachments therefore the neutral rating.
