Lyman 2-Cavity Bullet Molds are made from solid leaded-steel and machined to an exact and smooth super fine finish. The molds are then heat treated (that is why they are blue in color) and feature hardened steel alignment pins to provide many years of bullet casting service. Sprue plates are made from solid steel, ground flat and held tightly in place with tempered steel spring washers and screws. In addition, break-in is often half the time required for iron molds. Mold handles are not included......This mold drops .403 diameter bullets weighing 181 grains. I size the bullets to .401 using the Lee Sizer Kit with liquid Alox lube. I shoot these bullets out of a Glock 20 using a Lone Wolf barrel in both 10mmm auto and also .40 SW, behind Unique powder. No feeding issues and no failures. Very happy with this Lyman mold. Originally I had purchased the RCBS version as this mold was out of stock. The RCBS mold dropped undersized bullets and was quickly returned to Midway. Save yourself time and grief and purchase this Lyman mold instead. I plan on using cast bullets from this mold for Texas hog hunting. 180gr cast bullet @ 1100 fps from a 10mm auto Glock will definitely be awesome hog medicine.

The Lyman 525-grain sabot mold produces a slug that looks something like an overgrown air rifle pellet. With a diameter of approximately .681 inches, the Lyman sabot slug is designed to employ a variety of common trap wads as a carrier. Similarly, the Lee 1-ounce sabot mold produces a slug of about .690 inches in diameter and uses a trap wad as a carrier. The Lee slug incorporates a lead spoke in its base which, according to the manufacturer, is intended to secure the projectile to the wad during firing, thus improving performance in a rifled barrel. Requires double cavity handles.
