uncomplicated yet tactically sound flashlight

Written on Apr 14, 2016

Nice tactical flashlight. three modes of operation, 150 lumens, 15 lumens and strobe. Each can be momentary or steady. it is light weight and easy to install. Cons in my opinion is the batteries. It uses CR 123 which are a little expensive and not easy to find everywhere. All in all, a good, reliable tactical weapon mounted flashlight.

top quality at an affordable price!

I used to have a very expensive holographic sight, but due to a federal lawsuit against the company that manufactures the holo sight on December of 2015, I ship back the sight and started looking for an affordable yet high quality sight. I did my homework and I found Vortex. I started reviewing the different models and I settled for the strikefire II due to its 4 MOA. I was looking for a red dot sight with enough eye relief and with the right MOA capable of offering rapid target acquisition from zero to 50 yards in any light condition. The sight is extremely easy to zeroing and the accuracy is spot on. I recommend this sight without hesitation. This brand of sights offers high quality at a very affordable price and the life time warranty is something you should consider and factoring if you are looking for a more than decent red dot sight. No complains. Happy camper here.

Good, but not good enough

Written on Apr 01, 2016

First, the good stuff:
The bag is well built
It has a lot of pockets
It has pockets inside pockets
The wheels are sturdy and the bag rolls smoothly
the interior cargo area is big
It has little markers or pictograms in some of the pockets indicating "tools" "stapler" "ear muffs" and so on and forth. I think is a nice touch, but really is not something essential.

Now the bad:
The pocket for the shooting glasses are too small. You can not fit your shooting glasses in the pocket designated for them
The pockets for magazines are too small, in some of them you can not fit a 1911 magazine, much less a double stack magazine
I would prefer a coyote brown or OD green option, the bag is only available in navy blue, which is not bad but...
All in all is a good range bag and yes, I recommend this bag for a instructor and/or serious shooter.
