glock 17 micro roni

Written on Oct 03, 2018

Shot this many times in USPSA, for no score of course, because they currently forbid pistols with a brace. I am using a g17 and the extended brace, and the thumb stops, and got the light as well, and a truglo dot sight. Very easy to maneuver around things and very accurate and fast when against shoulder. I do not care about the slide release, never use it, just rack the slide to release it. The thumb stops are good, gives you a reference point, without them a friend got his thumbs dangerously close to the muzzle. Uses the glock 31 round mags, very fun and accurate, guaranteed to beat your pistol score without any practice, unless reload is required. Not easy for me to hit the mag release, I cannot flip it a little like I do the glock, so I put it on the other side and use my index finger like a lefty. I also noticed the glock is very hard to clean the slide around the muzzle, like it is getting too hot or maybe restricting things from flying away and letting them build up. Not sure if that is a problem, just never seen anything like that before. All in all it is a way for someone to shoot way faster and way more accurate then most people can with a pistol. Really great for beginners, because they can shoot a stage and hit things with no practice. I did have a few jams when it was new,so carefully used fine sand paper to remove burrs around the slide area.
