poor decision by Vortex
Written on May 02, 2017
I have another Vortex crossfire 2-7x32 ( non-rim fire ) with the reticle that is like the one that's advertised here. I really enjoy it so I purchased another. The new reticle is full of ranging lines both vertical & horizontal, very distracting to me. In low light or brushy areas they are pitiful. I may be an old school shooter but a 2-7x32 is Not a long distance scope especially at this low power & no AO. The new reticle is useless on a 2-7x32 & counter productive. Companies make bad decisions & this is one of Vortex's worst. I hope Vortex reads this & brings back the old style reticle. Sorry for the bad review since they took a great scope from 5 stars to 3.

Not my first bushnell red dot

Review for
Bushnell 1x28mm AR Optics Red Dot Sight 6MOA
I put different rings on this Bushnell & mounted it on a Mossberg 835. I've hunted coyotes & deer using 3" 12 gauge 00 buckshot. The red dot has had no problem handling the recoil thru sighting in & hunting. I really like using a red dot on shotguns because I can move the point of aim for maximum effective shot pattern. My other Bushnell trophy red/green dot is mounted on a Winchester 1300 & selected the 3 moa dot for turkey hunting. I use 3" #5 shot 12 gauge Turkey loads in that shotgun. Neither Bushnell red dot have ever failed me, my turkey dot is now over 9 years old & used to harvest numerous turkeys. I'm allowed 3 turkey per season where I live. I can't say enough about using a green dot in early morning light is excellent.
