Is there a picatinny mount for a Sig Romeo Zero?

Written on Jul 20, 2021

I looked high and low for a definative answer. Nobody seemed to know. When I asked about a particular mount, all I got was a handful of "it should", "It'll probably fit" and "I think it will". Nowhere could I find, without a doubt, a response as to what picatinny mount would match the footprint of Sig Romeo Zero. This question was asked twice, many months ago, right here for this item! And both went unaswered, until now.
So here we go.
Short answer - Yes!
Long answer: The holes of the sight line up perfctly with the studs and the threaded mounting holes on the mount. The pair of M4 screws that came with the Romeo Zero fit the best, rather than the ones supplied with the mount. However, the mount is about .175" wider and .3" longer than the sight. If you want the tightening knob on the mount to be on the left, the sight will mount flush with the back of the mount and the front of the sight will be set back .3" from the mount's front edge. The sight can also be flipped around and installed so that the knob is on the right. This will put the front of the sight flush with the front of the mount with the .3" offset at the rear.
Unfortunately, the shroud will not fit without modification. Two holes need to be drilled very near the front of the shroud to accommodate the studs on the mount. To locate where to drill. put a couple of layers of masking tape on the bottom front of the shroud. Line up the shroud's holes with two of the mount's studs and press the other two studs har

Handy accessory for the Caldwell DeadShot FieldPod

Written on Feb 06, 2017

Originally considered this to be something that might become useful at some point down the road, but once it arrived it was immediately reclassified as a necessity! When using the Caldwell DeadShot FieldPod to sight a scope or laser, its very convenient to have a tray available right on the tripod to hold the needed tools. Its easily repositioned to the right or left side, anywhere along the tripod's twin tubes, and stays put due to the coating on the sturdy wire frame. The removable mesh fabric is firmly attached to the frame with full length Velcro strips and folds flat for easy storage and transport. Got it for a great price and received it fasted than expected. Highly recommended for anyone who uses a Caldwell DeadShot FieldPod. This was used on the Magnum version Deadshot
