I've done quite a bit of research on this optic and when I saw it was on sale I decided to pull the trigger on it. It takes some getting used to as it is not a typical rifle scope. I'd say the user must be technically inclined to use it without getting frustrated. There's a lot of information out there on how to get the best out of this optic (external power source) because it goes through regular batteries quickly and lithium AA's aren't cheap. I wouldn't say it's "perfect" yet but with a simple update to the firmware from ATN and any foreseeable issues can be fixed. Easy to zero and also easy to zero multiple different rounds (300 blk subsonic and supersonic), just record the x/y zero data and plug it in later without having to necessarily re-zero. Not too heavy, lighter than typical NV scopes out there. The included IR illumination gets the job done, pic/video record is an awesome feature. Hoping to get out and use it to shoot some hogs soon. If you just want to punch holes in paper get a regular scope, but if you want to do some feral hog population or varmint control during the day or at night, don't hesitate to buy this.
