Awesome flip to side magnifier mount

GG&G Flip to the Side Magnifier Mount
I bought this for my Aimpoint 3x magnifier because I really did not like the Aimpoint Twist Mount and didnt quite want to pay the price for the Larue mount. I used this magnifier mount behind my CompM3 in a QPR2 mount with the spacer and they line up almost perfectly, height-wise.
To flip the mount open or closed theres a spring that you have to push/pull (depending if you mount it to flip to the right or left) against to clear a notch on the mount. What I really like about the GG&G is that it does not require excessive force to push past the spring tension. I have a Larue flip to side mount for my EOTech G33 magnifier and I feel that it is way more pressure required than it needs to be. It is probably worse for me since I am lefty and have to push the magnifier forwardband away instead of pulling it into my body if i was right handed. The GG&G has perfect spring tension in my opinion. If they made one for the G33 I'd ditch my Larue.

Great upgrade for your 15-22
Written on Oct 17, 2020
Awesome handguard and upgrade for the 15-22. Greatly improves the overall look, feel, and handling of the firearm. Also does not increase the weight of the very much, barely noticeable.
Including the tool to remove the factory barrel nut is also a huge plus. For installation of the new barrel nut you should have an AR armorer's wrench, but with the low torque value this can be achieved with a pair of channel locks using some care and feel. Plus, after "torqueing" there's a pin installed that will hold the nut in place.
The only complaints I have is that it is offered in keymod only and that the barrel end is wide open. For the latter, the rail wall is not as thick as full sized AR rails, at least when compared to my Daniel Defense RIS II and IWI Zion-15 rails, so when looking straight down the barrel end the rail opening just seems cavernous. For the former, I just prefer MLOK over keymod, but in comparison to the competition, price wise, I'll take the VISM keymod.
Does this rail feel as beefy and bomb proof as my RIS II rail? No, definitely not, but its going on a 22 rifle and if it was it would probably be overly heavy. And its not so thin/light that it feels like chincy or something. You are getting what you should expect from an $86 rail made for a 22 rifle, but this upgrade is money well spent.
As far as the low rating from the guy that ordered this for his full size AR and then actually posted a review on it when it wouldnt fit? Well, as Forrest Gump said: stupid i

Trijicon MRO HD 1x25mm Reflex Red Dot Sight
This sight has an issue where you can see the LED diode or circuit board under certain lighting conditions. Whenever there is a brighter light to the right of whatever you're aiming at you can very clearly see the reflection even if the sight is off. It doesnt happen all the time, as it depends on your environment, but it is not hard to replicate the issue at all. Would it interfere with being able to hit your target? I dont think so. I cant say for certain because I am returning mine. Is it annoying as heck and completely unacceptable from a $650 sight from whats supposed to be a Tier 1 vendor like Trijicon? Absolutely. You'd think they would have learned from the SRS but apparantly not. I wish that I could post pictures here of the issue as there's not a lot of info out there on this issue YET, but find the review of the MRO HD by Military Arms Channel on YouTube because he documents it in detail.
