Easy install on my Norinco Type 56

Review for
Choate Tool Sks Conventional Stock
My dad baught a Norinco SKS Type 56 during the Clinton AWB. Nice little carbine that started life with the standard Chi-Com wooden stock - never liked it. Then progressed to the ATI folding stock - but the L.O.P. was way too long. Had the Tapco Intrafuse stock the longest - but that was still a sad attempt to make an AR. Finally decided to ditch the Tactical and went PRACTICAL. Saw a good review on YouTube, and the rest was history.
This stock installed easily onto my Type 56 without any modification, (can't say about other variants). Althogh driving the handguard pin is always a mission, it was super nice that they included a new one! Didn't have to use the included plastic shim either. Instructions Re dated not very illustrated, but they get the job done. Stock works flawless with the Tapco 20rd mags.
Just an FYI, this does not have a slot for the cleaning rod, so you may have to drill if you want to utilize this feature. YMMV.
All in all, a nice and simple stock for a nice and simple rifle. Wish I had skipped my Tactical phase and had just gotten this stock from the get go!
