Overall, fit and finish is top notch. The Guard Dog FAST helmet is a IIIA patterned after the OpsCore FAST helmet. For civilian purposes, this is great value. For under $300, I have comfort that shrapnel and common pistol rounds will be stopped by the helmet. Most bump helmets from other manufacturers are more expensive than this ballistic helmet. For the price, having a degree of ballistic protection is great added comfort. It's not the lightest helmet around, but for a single PVS14, I practically don't need counterweights and instead keep extra batteries on my setup. The rails fit my Peltor mounts fine, and the suspension system keeps the helmet snug.
Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend to most civilians. No need to spend $1,000+ on a comparable helmet.
