Is it polymer/plastic...yes
Is it much cheaper than metal...YES
Will it work for a couple of years and compatible with M5 mags...YES
I put this on a Choate stock with a Remington 700 (requires minor fitting).
Included mag is VERY difficult to remove, at least it wont fall out.
Any normal person would use a LA cartridge with LA receiver (what Magpul designed it to do).
I am not normal and now have to get a LA M5 compatible mag for 6.5 Creed.
Luckily, Accurate Mag makes one.

Picked up a Vortex Diamondback TAC 6-24x50 a while back and thought about getting the 4-16x44...a couple of years later and the OPMOD deal I just could not pass up.
This is the EXACT same scope as the normal Diamondback TAC but in light grey or FDE. Quality is the same, price is lower for the OPMOD.
In comparison with the 6-24x50:
1. Higher magnification makes for reading the Christmas tree reticle easier, but the 4-16x44mm is not that much worse.
2. Eye relief is finicky for some (with both scope models), makes you have the same cheek weld all the time - something I prefer.
3. Grey color is a bit lighter than I would like, but can't beat the price and I can live with it.

Almost went with another Bell & Carlson Medalist, but chose Choate instead as it had a stock hook with vertical grip - glad I did.
The barrel channel in the Choate is HUGE. Needed it for a M24 contour barrel and the Bell only has Varmint size channel.
Solid construction, aluminum bedding block and length of pull with provided spacers is just right for me.
Only possible drawback is the sling studs go all the way through the stock and turn in the holes. I personally prefer this, but some do not.

Looking for a single piece mount and rings for a Remington 700 in .308 Win, glad I found DNZ.
This is the only one with 2 screws in the rear of the receiver. Holds true, solid construction, precision manufacture.
The only downside is that the connection bridge between the forward screw holes and the rear is about 1/4" off the top receiver line and off to the right (as designed). First pics I saw were not great (current ones are much better), thought it was down the middle and level. Rings only have 2 screws holding them, but still solid. Probably going to put some Loctite on them to make myself sure.
You could go with a Picatinny rail and separate rings but if you don't really need them, this is a good less expensive alternative.

Been looking to upgrade my scope on my Rem 700P in .300 Win Mag - I found it during a Optics Planet sale.
Solid & Positive turrets, clear glass and durable.
Was heading towards the Diamondback 4-16x44mm, but could not pass up the higher magnification for just a little more $. I am now debating to go back and get the 4-16x!
Only drawback is that unless your eye is at just the correct position, you are going to get blur. I kind of like it because it forces my cheek weld in the proper position every time...but I can see where it can be annoying.

Hat looked good in picture as I was looking for other things and threw it on my order for the heck of it (less than $2).
Very comfortable, looks good and covers my unkempt hair in the morning = good investment.

I could not go wrong for under $5 for each ring no matter which way it went...it went GREAT!
This is very similar to the Leupold Mk4 rings, for a fraction of the price. I did lap these rings, but they did not need much.
Had only 2 minor problems:
1. Of the 6 I have ordered, one only came with 3 screws. The last one may have fallen out during shipping, but the other 5 rings came in plastic bags. The last one was not in a bag and I lost a screw in shipping as a result.
2. They are out of stock and I need at least 2 more.
