perfect supplement for magnified optics

I mounted these in place of my previous Magpul flip up BUIS as I went to a magnified prism with a piggyback red dot. Some may think it's a bit much, but it's my rifle and this is how I currently want to set it up. They are a bit slow to deploy, not spring loaded like those they replaced, but they are out of the way and I no longer have to pop off my optic, for whatever reason, to get them running. My only real issue is I had to put my light on the left side of my rifle, which I can now actuate with my left thumb being right handed, so I guess it's not really a bad thing.

This thing is clear, with a crisp dot and very little parallax. You really have to look to see any parallax. This is a en extremely well built optic and I was excited to pick it up. At first I mounted it on an Echelon and it renders the iron sights all but unusable which isnt a bad thing if you don't like irons in your sight picture, I'm a 2 is one and 1 is none type when it comes to sights. I now have this as a piggyback optic on a rifle with a micro 5x prism optic.

I took a chance on this optic thinking Sig was breaking the mold and had high hopes it was built in their US plant and not in China. Sadly it is assembled in China and unfortunately I can't return it. Had I known it was Chinese made I would've passed on it, so if that matters to you look elsewhere. I will say the top load battery is nice and it does seem fairly robust. The 6moa dot is typical of Chinese optics and doesn't appear as crisp as the 3.3moa dot on my Steiner MPS or the even Sigs own Romeo X enclosed. The glass is nice and clear and so far I haven't seen any reflection of the emitter in the glass like I have on similarly priced Chinese brands. The standard RMSC mount is definitely much better than the ridiculous K style mount Holosun uses.
