I do not like the voids in my hand guard . I install my optics and fill the voids with these rubber grommets for my personal preferences. In my opinion they look good , less snags or little branches/leaves / debris going in and breaking off . It’s just like the firearms ITS YOUR PREROGATIVE . Do what’s right for you !

I hung one in my closet to see how long it would last . Last checked at 8 hrs and was still good . Came back at 10 hrs you could see it losing light . So I was good w/ the results
