This is probably the best option I've seen to add a laser function to an airsoft gun. It is absolutely wonderful with the laser ammo targets in toe. I did have problems out the gate but I figured it out. You need to use just a small, small amount of blue loctite on the cartrige that holds the battery or it will come loose in 3 shots. You can't tell when you battery is starting to die until you shoot right at a target and it doesn't register. I also can use this to dry fire on a regular pistol and it works. This deserves more credit than it gets with previous reviews. Sure, you could use pellets, but they make a terrible mess, this solution is just great. The only downside I see is you need to have a holster that will fit a flashlight to practice drawing and engaging.
For this review I'm going to focus much less on the airsoft gun itself and more on the laser system that was provided with this. Out of the box I had problems with the laser firing every time. I easily figured out the the laser cartridge would unscrew itself and provide a bad connection to the battery. This is easy to fix with some loctite so this is a non-issue. The major issue is the fact the the barrel does not seat in the pistol tightly and there is significant play that allows the barrel to move. This causes your shots to be off, and inconsistent. This is a deal killer. I bought the spider from laser ammo and used that on this pistol and it runs accurately and consistently. Just buy the laser ammo spider with your choice of airsoft gun.
I built my own p80 Glock 17 and 26 at the same using mostly L2D parts with the glock 17. I haven't had a problem with anything yet when it comes to the L2D stuff. Now when it comes to the other brand I used for the glock 26 it was a different story. I highly recommend this product as it makes the glock good looking while being subtle.
