It's Fragile!!
Written on Aug 14, 2026
I bought one of these in FDE and was using it in a 9mm pcc as well as a g45. I only fired one drum through it before it had a catastrophic malfunction. The pcc was leaning against the wall with the mag inserted and it fell over and the drum snapped clean off the tower and sprayed 9mm subs across my floor. I contacted Optics Planet and they referred me to Promag tech support, who uad me return the mag (supposedly so their engineers could look at it to determine how to fix the issue going forward) for a replacement. It was not too much of a hassle, but more than i would have liked. The real problem is the replacement mag did exactly the same thing within a couple months. I never even used it. The 1st time i loaded it up i put it in a g45 and i had a misfeed so i tapped the mag (tap rack bang) and the drum snapped off the tower and sprayed 40+ rounds everywhere. Exact same spot it broke before. There is something wrong with the polymer the tower is made out of because it broke at the lip that locks it to the drum both times. I will include pictures if possible. Would not recommend this one. I do have some promag stick style glock mags that work fine, but this drum is just too fragile. Spend a few extra dollars and get the pmag drum instead. I havent been able to get them on the phone yet, but i will update this with the outcome of the customer service process.

Originally I couldn't get it to cycle, i felt dumb when I realized it was the JP captured recoil spring. Once I switched that for a standard flat wire spring and buffer it cycled fine. That was my fault. The reason it's still only 4 stats is that when I tried to use a Sig factory 30-round mag it wouldn't stay in the magwell. Any vibrations it just falls out like the catch isn't fully engaged. Promag 21-round mags work flawlessly so I tried an OEM 21-round mag from Sig, but they all fell out as well. The only mags that securely seat are the promags and the new ETS mags with the metal feed lips. None of the OEM SIG 320 mags will seat. Otherwise it works as advertised and seems ok. Tolerance could be a bit tighter but it mostly works. Wouldn't trust my life to it but it's fine for plinking or cost-effective experimenting with a 9mm PCC before buying something better.

wont cycle
Written on Nov 19, 2025
I got this because i was gifted an ar9 upper from palmetto state and i didnt want to buy a dedicated lower for it. I yried this in a milspec lower with the brand new upper and it wont cycle when i try the charging handle. I may be doing something wrong but im not sure what it could be.

great quality, great company

The barrel is top notch. I called them to ask some questions about fitment for my custom build and they got back to me asap and were very friendly and knowledgeable. Shoots straight and looks nice. Runs smooth and with the backup tactical comp the gun looks super dweey and shoots super soft.

Review for
Strike Industries AR Pistol Stabilizer Brace
I got this for a budget truck gun build. Usually, I'd just run a stock and say f it, but since it's mainly gonna be driving around in a vehicle, i figured I'd follow the rules. Ugh. The brace itself seems ok. It looks fine and feels better than the bare tube or one of those flexible braces. I wouldn't attempt to crush any skulls with it, but as a temporary solution until i can get to a better weapon system, it seems fine. I put 500 rounds through the 10.5 it's on, and it didn't shift or anything.

Review for
TacFire Glock Lower Parts Kit
Didn't notice it came with 2 slide retention springs for diff models. I was wracking my brain, trying to figure out why i had an extra part lol. Otherwise good quality pins, everything works perfectly in a geisler 19x build. I think the reviewer who had issues witb his slid retention spring may have used the wrong one. Most of what he described sounds like build or fitment issues. I had no teouble with the install, took all of 10 min and once i lubed it up it runs great. The trigger isnt awesome, but when you press it a bullet comes out, so alls well that ends well. Definitely recommend for this application.

works but sloppy
Written on Jul 22, 2024
It works but i wanted a 45 safety and i thought this one looked pretty good and i liked the little tabs at the end of the levers because im always wearing gloves and they help in manipulation, but after i installed it it just is sloppy. It catches if you hit it without the rifle being charged (which i dont do on purpose, but the little tabs catch things sometimes) then if you charge it while its caught it wont go off safe until you press the trigger and flip it simultaneously. Also, it fits loose and protrudes in a weird way. And before anyone thinks it's an install issue, i ran it to my smith, and he took it out and reinstalled it, and it still does the same thing.
Honestly, if it's a fun gun or range toy and it looks like you want, im sure it's fine, but for anything you need to rely on id find one with tighter tolerances
