Does what it's supposed to do

Written on Mar 15, 2025

Looked at a number of similar sharpeners and concluded that this was the most versatile and best value. Easy to assemble and use. Works with a variety of different knives.

Only downside is that the included stones supposedly wear out quickly. But I just got it, so it's not an issue yet.

B5 Stock GTG

Written on Mar 04, 2025

AR stocks are really a matter of personal preference. But having used a number of stocks I have to say that the Bravo B5 is really my go to stock. Solid, reliable, great cheek weld. It's just a solid, and not super expensive option.

Somewhat overlooked but excellent knife

Written on Feb 11, 2025

Compared to iconic Spyderco offering like the Paramilitary 2 and Paramilitary 3 I think this model is sometimes overlooked. But if you can tolerate the size and weight I think this makes an excellent EDC. The large G10 handle feels great in the hand and the unique blade shape makes short work of ripping through cardboard boxes, which, if I'm being honest, is what I will be doing with it 80% of the time. And of course you get the typical Spyderco quality.

Spyderco Para Military 2 - Classic for a reason

Written on Feb 05, 2025

There's a reason Spyderco's PM2 is one of the most popular knives in their lineup. Although on the large side it carries well in the pocket and thanks to the Spidey hole deploys quickly. Mine has the CPM S45V blade, which is a good compromise between durability, edge retention and price. The flat ground blade enables this knife to slice through pretty much anything, although I do worry about the durability of the tip.

Overall, would definitely recommend this knife if you are looking for something that has a large blade for EDC.
