It's cheap, have not live fired it yet and honestly probably will not. The eye relief is non-existent, the overhang of the rear eye peice isn't enough to positively aim with a backup sight and it does not mount far enough back on an AR Rail for you to get a clear sight picture without having your nose touch the sight itself. The illumination is useless, daylight just turning it on completely obstructs your view from lense glare and there's no way to focus it properly...low light don't bother, it's blindingly bright on the lowest setting. It's a great airgun scope, and that's about it
It is not clearly stated and I should have done my research better, these are ONLY designed for the standard 30rd military steel/aluminum mags, they will not work with anything else. They also do not have a positive clamp to the mag and requires tape or shims to keep from sliding during firing, or even manipulating the mags in a pouch
Easy enough to install, have not fired it yet, however I have noticed that there is a lot of noise and movement of something in the butt when handling the rifle and when cycling the charging handle the bolt hangs up like the buffer tube that is included is not fitting right. It's also super long, the carbine buffer I had is half the size of the new one, I swapped it because the one included is TiN coated, but I may be switching back. The recoil spring is also very noisy, so until I live fire it I'm not sure fully if it's worth it or if it has some function flaws.
I got this in hopes to fit on my PTR32 and with very little information I went for it. It fit flawlessly without needing any modification or fitting, the same also with my C308 (PTR 91). It's a solid fit without any wobble or rattle, it also comes with a replacement front pin that has a threaded bolt and nut that is so precise that it has to be lined up perfectly for it to slide through properly.
I got this specifically for my KelTec Sub 2000 because of the throw leaver mount. It holds zero perfectly with the recoil of 9mm and the hight of the mount is tall enough that the fixed iron sights don't obscure your feild of view, if the optic fails you don't need to co-witness, just remove the optic. What I do when I fold the carbine is I remove the optic and re attach it to the under side of the rail facing towards the muzzle, then I sighted the green laser in this position so if seconds count and I can't mount the optic on top when I deploy the carbine the green laser is sighted to be used on the bottom rail to be fired from the hip. I will say however that the laser adjustment itself is very coarse and touchy, it moves dramatically for a very minute turn of the screws and there is no discerning "click" when you do this so be very careful with a steady hand.
The titanium coated barrel not only looks good but it dropped right in without any issue. Shooting standard target ammo not only were there no malfunctions but the felt recoil was actually less than that of the standard barrel and accuracy was greatly improved at 30 yards and beyond. Some issues with cycling hollow points however federal critical defense and Sig defense cycled without failure to feed flawlessly
