Quickly becoming my favorite triggers

Written on Jan 21, 2023

Clean breaks, solid hits and short resets. These aren’t the fastest triggers out there. If you’re looking for strictly a competition trigger, there are better options. For all around use they’ve been as good as any other. The designated marksman trigger has a unique face with 2 finger positions. One for fast shooting and one for distance accuracy. Seems a little gimmicky but does actually make a difference.

Solid quality, but not necessary

Written on Nov 01, 2022

This sling attachment mounts solidly, and is of good quality. It sticks out quite a bit, and could get uncomfortable. I honestly haven’t trained with my Stribog much, so I can’t say much more than that. What I can say this: if you have the standard SB brace that comes with the Stribog, you’ll have to purchase the Midwest Industries QD sling adapter for the brace to have somewhere to attach the other end of your sling. It was $25. So now you’re in $75 just to get it to a point you can put a QD sling on it, plus I had to find a sling that was shorter than most as the SMG platform doesn’t need as long of a sling. Long story short, get the Blue Force Gear basic sling with UBL loops. There are plenty of places to strap them, and it will save you quite a bit of money.

Love these grips!

Written on Oct 02, 2022

The K2+ is an excellent, inexpensive upgrade for any AR rifle or pistol. The more vertical grip angle puts the shooters wrist in a substantially more comfortable position, and the rubberized cushion greatly enhances the ability to maintain grip even when your hands are wet. The storage compartment is just an added bonus. Pick one up and you won’t be disappointed.

Perfect fit for my Stribog

Written on Jun 07, 2022

Wasn’t sure if this would fit the SP9A1, but they were made for each other. The foregrip overhangs the pic rail at the back, but stops just short of the trigger guard. I spent a long time trying to find something that looked good and didn’t cost a fortune. They’re great on rifles and everything else, too, but it truly shines on the Stribog.

Excellent quality

Quality at a value. I’ve put together several Aero Precision builds, and none of them have disappointed me. I chose the omitted forward
assist for a lightweight project. Don’t hesitate to pick one up.

solid value

If you have any doubts about Holosun quality, watch some Sage Dynamics reviews on YouTube. Solid products, at a solid value. I trust my life to them and carry one every day. The X2 line has the added feature of being able to adjust the minimum brightness when using the auto adjust feature. That makes a big difference, especially while using a weapon light.

Nice addition to a spare pistol

Written on Aug 28, 2021

It takes 30 seconds or less to throw a pistol in this and secure it. I used it for my spare glock, so I don’t plan on swapping it back and forth, but it’s easy enough to do if you want. I don’t have an optic yet, so I can’t say if taking the pistol out and putting it back in means you have to re-zero or not. My guess is it should be fine. Some complain there is no manual safety other than what is on the pistol. MCK may make a trigger block for this, but in my opinion it’s not a big deal. If I carry it in a backpack I’ll just not chamber a round unless it needs to be deployed.

solid handguard

Written on Aug 15, 2021

Got this for a lightweight build. I was concerned about the attachment, as I prefer mounting directly to the barrel nut with screws, but so far so good. No shift in the handguard or loosening of the screws. It’s comfortable, plus comes with a M-Lok QD sling attachment point. Would definitely recommend.

Does the job

Written on Jul 03, 2021

With the limited options available for the Glock 43, this is probably the best. Super short battery life, but the battery compartment is easy to get to, and you can find holsters made to fit fairly easily. The light and laser are both limited, but at practical distances of engagement with the 43, they should be enough to get the job done.

Loads of fun

Written on May 06, 2021

This trigger is a good time. A little tougher to install than a standard AR trigger, but easily doable by the average tinkerer. The pull is nice. The reset feels a little clunky in semi-auto, but it wasn’t meant to be a smooth, precision trigger. The selector is a little sloppy as well. Binary mode is amazing. Fast and smooth. The only downside is you’ll burn through ammo fast and smoke your barrel if you don’t let it rest. I’d recommend anti-walk/anti-rotation pins and a heavy barrel.
