Exactly what a modern AR-15 handguard should be

Review for
Geissele Mk18 M-Lok Super Modular Rail
Grabbed this for a 'modern' approach to a Mk12 - imagine if there was a Mk12 Mod 3 - because of the integrated ARCA and frankly the longer length at 16.5 inches. The ARCA is chamfered probably so there are not any sharp edges and all and you can get a comfortable "c clamp" if you shoot that way. There is integrate M-LOK on the bottom so you can still run your AFGs or handstops while being able to quickly adjust your ARCA bipods and get on tripods. Another cook feature not advertised is that the front and rear sections are threaded for 8-32 set screws like the Magpul ARCA sections to provide index points for your bipod or tripod. Glad Geiselle brought back the steel insert into the QD slots, they also have an interesting doubled up MLOk at the 3 and 9 positions. It would be a tight fit but you could seemingly put a KIJI and Modlite or similar on the same side, hang levels and MFALs nearly anywhere to be ergonomic. And at 18ish ounces with the barrel nut this isn't a super heavy rail for its length. Highly recommend this!
