The red dot was easy to mount and get zeroed. It looks good on the Taurus GX4XL. But while performing maintenance on my weapon I dropped the slide and it landed on the corner of the red dot. There's no physical damage to the outside frame, but to my surprise it did cause the glass to chip in that corner. The red dot still works and can still be seen. I'm not sure how the red dot will hold up to being fired now. So for a range gun I think the red dot will be fine, but for an everyday carry weapon I'd say go for something more reputable for durability.
