High Quality, But They Shift

Written on Sep 05, 2017

Had these mounted on my Burris XTR II scope on top of my Remington .308 and had to return them because they shifted after 1 day at the range. Spent an hour getting the rifle leveled, then the scope leveled, then tightening each screw extra carefully with a torque wrench. Everything was perfectly level, took the rifle to the range, put 40 rounds through and the scope lost its level after 1 day. I used a torque wrench to tighten each of the 12 rings to 30 lbs. and the bottom fastener to the rail at 40lbs. The plastic inserts in the rings cause the scope to shift ever so slightly from the recoil. Returned them for a LaRue mount.

Best Overall Value For The $

Written on Aug 18, 2017

I researched scopes for over a month before I decided to pull the trigger on this beauty, this scope provides the best overall value for the $'s in this price-point, period. The ACSS reticle is nice because you can use it as a red dot at 1 power, but this reticle also provides a clear picture at 6 power. You can also dial up/down the brightness of the reticle if you're shooting indoor vs. outdoor or depending on the weather. I bought this scope for my AR platform, I have a Colt LE 6920 and have this mounted on a LaRue QD LT104 so I also have the option of a quick release if I ever need to use my iron sights. First day at the range I got this sighed in with a bore sight and was hitting steel all day at 100 yds. Side note: I had to make 0 adjustments to this scope out of the box. The gentleman next to me had a Vortex Strike Eagle and commented that he wish he went with the Primary Arms ACSS. I've done my research, and there is no better value than this scope at this price point If you're looking for a quality scope, with good glass, that you can use multi-purpose (red dot and 6 power zoom) then pull the trigger on this one, you won't be disappointed. I also recommend the LaRue QD mount for this scope, it is a quality mount and doesn't lose the zero every time you remove the scope. If you spend the time to mount the scope using 2 levels and a torque screwdriver at the recommended setting per LaRue, then she won't budge. Bottom line, you can't beat the scope for the $, for les
