First I purchased a Red Dot from Optics Planet for my 556 pistol. When I got it, I powered it up, looked thru it and all I saw was a large red starburst instead of a crisp dot. Called OP, no problem, they said send it back and I chose the store credit opption . It took about 2 weeks for the credit to go thru and by then I had decided on this 3x prism scope from Primary Arms. And like most of the other reviews say it's a little heavy , but it's built solid and looks great. But when I looked thru this one the reticle was blurred with my glasses on but clear and crisp without them. Called OP customer service and the rep said that sometimes if you can't use a red dot, a prism scope may not work either. Again, no problem, send it back.
Optics Planet and there return policy are great. If you have good eyes this looks like it would be a great choice, but if not, do a little more research. For now,I'm using a 1-6x scope that I already had and that works great for me but it's 1/2 the size of my firearm. The search continues.
