BCM KMOD RAIL PANEL

Written on Jan 13, 2017

These KMOD rail panels are lightweight, durable, low profile, provide a very nice grip, and remain solidly in place. There are five panels in the package, each panel covers seven KMOD slots plus half the distance to the next slot. When covering more than seven KMOD slots multiple panels interface with very little gap, not noticable when gripped or the grip is adjusted along the rail. I used a fresh utility knife (and a good deal of force) to cut the panels to accommodate less than seven KMOD slots; a single KMOD size section does not remain as stable as longer lengths. The surface is slightly rounded and textured providing very nice augmentation to forward grip and weapon control without perceived added bulk or protrusions. I am satisfied.

Rm02 AND M&P C.O.R.E.

Written on Apr 17, 2016

The Trijicon RMR RM02 is a very high quality optic and an excellent choice to mount on a S&W M&P C.O.R.E. pistol. This optic will mount on a C.O.R.E. platform with mounting plate "type 1" and screws provided by Trijicon with your purchase; it is a very simple procedure. The optic must be removed to change the battery; the battery is expected to last a year. The optic will cowitness very well obscuring minimal optical sight picture. The optic has a built in gasket seal to protect the electronics. The optic base, mounting plate provided with the C.O.R.E. pistol, and pistol slide form a solid platform that appears to maintain a good seal to the optics base and electronics. I tried the RM63 sealing plate but removed it deciding that the seal is adequately maintained, that the cowitness is better, and that the optic seats more solidly without the sealing plate. The 6.5 MOA dot is easy to pick up and is very crisp; this is a good MOA size choice for defensive application. Under fluorescent light the dot appears slightly flared and grainy but not so much as to impede use significantly; I understand this is due to the optics sensor responding to the pulse frequency of this type of lighting. In low to no light the dot dims accordingly, remaining easy to pick up and crisp. The optic responds very quickly to changes in environmental light. A flashlight or weapon mounted light will render the dot unobservable; I consider this to be the only functional weakness and it appears to
