useful tool

I already had one of these tools for AR15, AR10, and 1911. This is the proverbial 3rd hand to get that work done on single stack mag pistols such as Ruger MK I-IV. Very handy and cost effective.

Handy gunsmithing tool

Vise blocks for the AR10 and AR15 are particularly useful tools because of the size and weight of long guns. I’ve also found that vise blocks for pistols are equally handy as they provide the proverbial third hand. I’ve hand one for 1911 series for some time but ran across this Ruger vise block while looking at other products. Very useful when working on any of the Mk series of firearms.

Little component/ huge results
Written on Feb 15, 2024
Aggravating characteristic of the Ruger MKIII 22/45 is the difficulty inserting and extracting the magazine. That is a flaw that prevents this gun from being fun to own and shoot. This bushing fixes 2 problems: 1. The need to insert and remove the magazine multiple times to disassemble the firearm, and 2. The sticky, difficult to insert and remove the magazine as well as allowing the magazine to fall away from the firearm. Installation requires some dexterity and simple tools. I would not attempt to install the bushing unless the operator can disassemble and reassemble the firearm easily.

Clean that brass

Review for
Lyman 2500 Pro Magnum Tumbler
This is the third one of the 2500s that I have purchased. I have also owned a 1200. I replaced a 2500 that failed after 15 years. The 1200 failed after over 20 years. I have another 2500 that I've owned for 5 years. I have owned 2 auto flows but they are a big mess and do not hold as much brass as the regular Pro. Also, the auto flow does not perform well when using dryer sheets to keep the media clean.

Python Holster

Review for
Bianchi 7001 AccuMold Thumbsnap Holster
Bought this for a Colt Python. Perfect fit. Leather may look better but nylon doesn't mar the finish either with drawing or retaining and contains no tanning products to eat the finish. Retention is also good.
