The Sig 516 Gen 1 is getting pretty dated with a heavy short proprietary quad rail. I’ve been wanting this Lancer carbon fiber rail for some time, but it was expensive and hadn’t migrated to Mlok. Finally it got Mlok and the price came down (with the help of Optics Planet coupons). It’s still relatively expensive compared to other rails, but that’s the cost of having a piston system. It’s easy to install, very light, and attractive. Get rail guards for it as I think it will scratch easy.
This is really easy

There are lots of castle nuts on the market that advertise as milspec. The only thing milspec about many of them is the thread. The Daniel Defense castle nut is truly mil-spec. Correct outside diameter, width, and detent marks for staking.

I’m hooked on piston driven AR’s especially the Primary Weapons Systems (PWS) long stroke piston system. I buy their uppers and build my own lowers to CA featureless compliance. The drawback on piston uppers is carrier tilt in the buffer tube, which can cause jams and misfeeds. Aero’s enhanced buffer tube has a lip that the BCG rides on avoiding carriers tilt.

Made in the USA. Fits as a push/pull or hand stop. Satin smooth machining and finish. All the edges radiused and don’t irritate your fingers. Low profile. Doesn’t snag on other gear. Great for restricted states. I’d search out more JE Machine Tech accessories.

This is my fifth SSA-E trigger. I use this in all my bench guns, where a consistent pull and break are essential for long range target shooting. The two stage take up allows you to know exactly where the break is helping immensely with breathing and shot placement. I can pick up any bench gun I own knowing trigger control will be identical.

There is no mil-spec for AR 10 receivers. Not only are there two different patterns, there are difference between the same patterns. Aero makes a very nice lower that accepts the widest range of DPMS pattern uppers. However the pivot and takedown pins are a slightly smaller diameter other pins. Also be aware a standard mag catch is too short. Either get a deeper release button (Aero) it a long take down catch (Sig 716)

I'm partially to blame for this situation. I had mistakenly thought this mount would work for other vortex red dot, but unfortunately it does not. It only fits the Razor (their most expensive red dot). It would not have been difficult to design it for all vortex red dots

The 6 MOA dot is perfect for a handgun and Vortex makes an adapter plate for the rear sight dove tail so you don't have to mill your slide or just try the sight before you mill the slide. With 6 MOA rapid sight and target acquisition is much easier. With hot 10mm loads, you can hit consistently at 100 yards.

I had some yankee hill extended pins on a lower that where so tight, I always had to tap out the rear pin. These fit nice a snug. The pull rings are s nice idea, but the rear one can interfere with weapon operation if your right handed.

With Seekins products you never have to worry about engineering and build quality. Their stuff works. Smooth edges and raised surface to easily engagement. Variety of colors. I would buy this again at optics planet who has good pricing.
