cow elk at 700 yards low light situation
Written on Mar 03, 2026
Wife and father both had 4th season cow elk tags in Colorado. Was looking at this one and the Venom and end up getting the Diamondback because it was lighter in weight. I have a TikkaT3x with a suppressor wanted to try and be mindful of weight and price. This scope has tons of great features but where it shined was in low light conditions. We were able to put a stock on a cow elk in the last minute of shooting light, my wife was able to see clearly find the elk and put 2 good shots in the cow elk at 534yards and then another at 722 yards. She was able to operate the scope with ease and find target fast with time fading. A good scope for the money I would suggest this scope instead of the next lowest price range scope, If your budget allows it.
