This is my second Faxon MATCH(not duty) barrel I have for my Glock 19s. Having finished building out my own G19, I put a $40 ported barrel to finish the build. It ran great but the accuracy using 115gr ammo was horrendous. Bench testing (having the front and the back resting on solid surfaces) the gun put groups at about 8-10 inches at 25yds. Knowing that I wasn't that bad of a shot I brought out my original G19 with my 1st Faxon barrel and the groups were 1-2 inches at 25yds using the same bench test as above.

I immediately ordered another threaded Faxon Match barrel and tested the results today. After dialing in the zero I got 2-3 inch groups at 25yds. I believe the barrel could do a bit tighter based of the natural mechanical wobble I had in my hands today.

Another interesting note is that when I first bought my original Faxon barrel it was $185, and now, they are around $100 for the same quality barrel. After contacting Faxon on this they said they had streamlined production and were able to pass the savings on to the customer.

Those looking to train with their handguns out to 25 yds and more, MUST FIRST confirm what the gun is capable of with the ammo you will be using. This will save you much frustration when shooting at greater distances with no consistency. This is very important.

Having shopped for every match barrel that exists on the market today I cannot think of any reason to buy a $200-$300 plus barrel when I am already getting 1-2 inch groups.

I waited a while to write this review because I wanted to give an actual review on how this comp performed after putting 1-2k rounds through
it.
I ran this comp on my Glock 19 Gen 4 with a Faxon 416R threaded barrel. All else on the gun is stock.
The first time I fired my Glock 19 with the compensator on, I could tell an immediate difference. It absolutely levels the gun out and reduces
muzzle flip notably. How anyone debates if a compensator does, or does not, affect the muzzle flip on a 9mm is ridiculous. It absolutely does. It
does make for better recoil management and faster split times (if you are using a timer).
I also wanted to touch on the reliability of a Glock 19 when running a compensator. Before buying a compensator, I had seen several videos
talking about compensators making a Glock, or any other pistol, less reliable. This ‘can’ be true, but in reality, is not a factor. I personally have
full confidence in the reliability of my Glock and I conceal carry it all the time WITH the compensator on. People looking to buy this
compensator will need to test various ammo out to see what makes the gun reliable and unreliable. For me I exclusively run 115gr both for
training and defense ammo. Through training I found that 115gr ammo that has LESS than 1100fps will begin to cause malfunctions after 100-
200 rounds through a freshly cleaned and oiled pistol. To correct the gun’s reliability, I do not stock any training ammo that has less than
