I bought this to mount a small IR illuminator on my rifle, Unfortunately the body is too thick to fit inside.I have a few flashlights that fit so no big deal. I am a big fan of FAB Defense products as they go well with my Keltec sub 2ks.

As it is intended to hold a flash light that can be installed or removed without tools it does that. The construction is solid and the retention spring is strong but not too stiff.I believe it will hold up well and appears to be stout. I purchased this in order to mount my IR illuminator to the side of my rifle.
