Your standard basic Magpul furniture in AK pistol grip flavor. Gets the job done. Feels like magpul. Not the best, nor the worst. Better options out there I’m sure but a proven company you can trust. Only thing I didn’t like is how far back they extend that top flat part that lays above your hand when holding. I specifically used this on an M14/M1A archangel CQB stock and the top flat part that goes upwards against the bottom of the weapon extended backwards beyond where the stock was so it looked out of place but still functioned completely fine. Also the screw was possibly out of spec and was not fitting correctly however that could also have been the stock I was using… or user-error. Idk. If you want to be a “Basic Brett” with your AK style firearm, get this I guess.

Excellent Buttstock Padding!

Bought this combo set because it was on sale and was cheaper than just buying the stock by itself. The stock I chose because of its large padding in the back to use on .308 to help reduce the recoil felt on my shoulder and it was excellent! The pistol grip is not my style whatsoever and I have not mounted it on any of my AR style firearms so I can’t really speak on it. Just feels like smooth plastic/polymer and is lightweight, that’s all I can say. I just wish Adaptive Tactical would make this exact stock in Commercial size and I would buy two more!

Excellent Trigger for entry-level light pull weight triggers

RISE Armament Rave 140 AR Drop-In Trigger
The Rave-140 flat trigger has an excellent feel and is super light if you’re used to milspec/duty weight triggers. This trigger is an excellent place to start when starting out with a budget lightweight / short reset trigger. However it is better to go with a non-drop in (Cassette) trigger for practical real life applications because of the inability to fix/replace internal parts of the trigger while in the field. Or even if a primer pops out and falls into the cassette it could be very difficult to remove and render your weapon useless. But… the trigger is very nice to get your feet wet with smooth-like-butter trigger pulls. Such a blast to shoot at the range. Still recommend for a place to start as a trigger upgrade. But if you can afford it get a Geissele.

AWESOME Padding. Woodland Camo NOT awesome

This Mil-Spec sized buttstock is PERFECT for reducing recoil felt. I used it on a 308 application and improved the comfort of recoil by 100% on my shoulder. It was the main feature I was looking for when choosing a stock and this one seriously delivers on comfort of padding. My only complaint is the Woodland camo colors aren’t as dark as usual M81 Woodland Camouflage. It looked a little light and almost cartoonish and did not match my woodland Hotpocket. But other than that it was perfect. Just wish I chose an OD colored one.
Padding on Rear is Misleading

The stock works fine, and fits just fine on commercial style buffer tube sizes. I chose this stock to put on a M14/M1A stock to shoot 308 because it looked like it had a thick pad on the rear-end to help with the hefty recoil. However, once receiving the stock I realized it just had a very thin over-mold that sits right up against the very hard plastic/polymer back. Does not feel very comfortable and would NOT be beneficial to reduce the feel of recoil any better than a fully polymer buttstock with a hard plastic rear end.
