I bought this part to go along with a Strike Industries’ charging handle - both in red - to add some interest to my first AR build. The manufacturing quality of this part is high but... the adjustable button catch started to back out during my first trip to the range. Upon closer inspection, it appears that the hollow shaft that screws in/out of the cover to adjust the catch is very sloppy in its mounting hole. I honestly don’t know if this is because it backed out and was damaged during that first use (there is no evidence of this, but I am giving the mfg the benefit of doubt) or if it was that way off the line. I called the manufacturer and was told that it should have locktite applied (i feel as if that should have been pre-applied or noted clearly somewhere. Either way, this is a very small part with no easy way to engage it for removal so low strength locktite is the only option in my opinion. Of course, now the plunger is sticking because of the locktite. I usually don’t write such long reviews - but I am disappointed in this part. Thanks for reading.
