Outstanding Trigger

Written on Oct 22, 2024

I bought this for my Bergara B14r. Installation was easy using just the instructions. A YouTube video on general trigger replacement for the B14r also helped.

Adjustment was easy. The low end of the trigger adjustment is stated as 1.0 pound but I have mine adjusted to 15 oz. It could go lower but this works fine for me.

As expected, the trigger breaks crisply and there is no creep, gritty feel or over travel. It is an excellent option for both general range, competition and hunting use.

Excellent Bipod but not for Competion

Written on Oct 22, 2024

I bought this bipod for my Bergara B14r. It is a very well made product with no flex in the legs. The tilt and pan functions work great. For general use, this is a great budget bipod. The best I have under $100.

There are two negatives. The first is that the release levers on the legs at the pivot points and extension points are small and stiff to use. These would take far to long to manipulate in a timed competition event.

The second is how much force it took to pivot the legs from parallel to the barrel to the 45-degree or 90-degree configuration. The culprit was that the pivot screws were over tightened at the factory. The fix was to use a 3mm hex wrench to loosen the screw very slightly. It took a relatively high torque to break the screw loose so I recommend using a 3mm hex wrench that you don't mind if it bends. I just bought one for under $2 from my local hardware store and it worked fine. Once loosened, the screw setting is quite sensitive. It took a couple of tries to get it to the "Goldilocks" position so the legs were loose enough to adjust easily but not so loose that they flop down and produce play at the pivot point. A drop of oil on the pivot point helped some too.

I would buy this again because I do not shoot competitively. If you want a general use bipod, this is a strong option.

Amazing Value

I bought one of these after seeing and using one that a shooting buddy has. I bought it to replace my EoTech XPS2 which I'm sending back under the recall/refund program. I now have 2500 rounds through my pistol caliber carbine with the Holosun mounted to it. My only problem was when the set screw used to adjust the fit tightness loosened up during a match. A drop of blue Loctite seems to have cured the problem. Otherwise, the performance of the sight, including electronics, has been 100 percent.

In comparison to the EoTech, the Holosun:

1. Has a much clearer circle/dot reticle. The circle is a smooth, continuous line. The EoTech's circle reticle appears to be composed of many individual dots.
2 Has a quick mount system which retains its zero setting. The EoTech has none.
3. Costs about 60% of the EoTech when comparing street prices.
