First, I've never been disappointed with any Streamlight products and I own several. Second, I bought this Syclone, as soon as Streamlight released it for sale, for a specific purpose. Third, because it was made by Streamlight, I took a chance and bought two. Very happy I did.

At the time these were released for sale, I was already looking for a portable light that was: small, versatile, rechargeable, very bright, waterproof and built to take a severe beating.

My intended purpose was to find a light that I could use anytime/anywhere that I could throw into my tool box, backpack or range bag and it needed the ability to operate continuously for a few hours on a single charge. The Syclone checks ALL of the boxes!

One of my hobbies is working on and customizing my '67 Chevelle. I found that the typical drop-lights have drawbacks in tight spaces like wheel wells, trunks and under the dash. Whether it's their size, inability to "stay put" or, in the case of incandescent bulbs, additional heat plus the bulb can easily break.

The Syclone, with it's strong magnet, stays put. The attached hook (that swivels) gives you the option of hanging it or using the wide-weighted base you can set it on most surfaces.

I suspect this review reads like a Streamight sales pitch but everything I wrote here is absolutely true. Yes, I'm a fan/customer of Streamlight products but that came after watching a few friends beat the daylights out of their Streamlight products for about 10 years before I
