There are alot of Chinese clones on the market that claim 3a rating but let a 22lr through like butter. I bought this one after seeing a video of it stopping everything up to 44. Once I recieved it I was even more impressed! For this awesome price u get a quality feeling helmet, a boa tightening system for the straps and shockingly nice padding. I was ready to drop another 130 on a team wendy padding kit but this helmet does not need it! The helmet cover is pretty cheap so I replaced that but it was free so no loss there. Rails and mounts feel solid and work great with my ear pro. Only real down side I can think of is it is about a pound heavier than some of the top teir stuff around but for the price I'm super happy.
