Triggertech AR10 competitive curved

Written on Feb 20, 2024

This is my second Triggertech trigger and am extremely satisfied. I’m a fan of the two-stage 1911 type pull and find on these units the pull is extremely smooth, the break is glass-rod like with almost no over travel and a positive reset. They truly are some of the best triggers on the market and worth their price. My particular trigger broke at 4# which isn’t as described but for me acceptable for my application and may be due to my cheap analog trigger pull gauge. I’m hoping that it lightens up some with use. One thing to note which was the main reason for writing this review…I installed this trigger on a older Gen 1 DPMS LRT SASS .308 and the trigger guard on this particular rifle is flat and not removable as compared to what we now see on more modem AR lower receiver designs. I found that upon installation the trigger shoe was about 1/32” or so too long and contacting the trigger guard leading to malfunction. A few swipes of a file on the bottom of the trigger shoe fixed the issue and I can’t blame triggertech for running into such a minor issue on an AR10 lower design creeping up on 20 years old but it is food for thought especially for those looking at the straight trigger shoe model on the not-so-standard AR10 platform. Happy shooting.

Been good to go so far.

Purchased to replace a mil-spec type handle on an old DPMD LR308. Nicely made, no burrs, and runs smoothly. Handle is wide but thin, has nice knurling, and positive lockup to the upper. Picked it up due to its advertised gas mitigation features when running suppressed as it was about half the cost of the competitor’s handle with similar mitigation features which I have on another gun…gas to face has been manageable and I don’t feel I’m missing out by going with the less costly option. I got the gray handle model and really like it…it’s a very dark but glossy charcoal gray which almost blends in with a black gun and creates a subtle contrast

Good to go

This is my second Superlative Arms AGB and have zero complaints. Works well to regulate gas on builds using suppressors creating high back pressure. Easy install for the weekend armorer and easy to adjust with provided long, ball-end Allen wrench and clear instructions.

Good to go

Used on a mid-length DPMS LR308 and set into a Superlative Arms AGB. Well made and no issue with fitment. Came with a roll pin for installation.

Good to go

Standard set of gas rings for LR 308. No burrs or manufacturing issues. Easily installed and have been working without issue.

Very nice pouch

Written on Sep 05, 2014

I ordered this as a replacement for the cheap plastic pouch that came with my huntsman model Swiss Army knife and thus far I have not been disappointed. The pouch is nicely made with thick leather and good stitching. The color of the pouch is uniform and doesn't rub off like with some other cheaper leather goods. I ordered the model with the sharpening rod and found it to fit nice and snug in its own holder sewn onto the side of the pouch and the hood of the pouch is cut slightly wider so there's some material covering the rod preventing its loss. As long as you don't stretch out the leather by trying to put the rod out without opening the pouch hood, I don't see a person losing the rod but if you're still worried, the rod has a ring at the top to tie a lanyard to whatever you feel may be more secure. The only "issue" I have with the pouch is very minor and of personal preference in that the pouch has a sewn on belt loop instead of an open ended tab of spring steel or a snap closure which would allow the user to take the pouch off and on without undoing their belt. Overall I am very happy with this pouch as see it lasting for quite some time.
