I was anxious to use MagnetoSpeed Sporter - I purchased the sporter because I do not own firearms that would require MagnetoSpeed V3 or V4. I find the instructions provided are NOT very clear. What I learned was: 1] you have to be very quick watching the screen AND you need to memorize the Abbreviations for the different Functions. Probably 80% of the Functions I will never use. 2] I was pleased at the number of shots that were recorded. 3] You cannot dilly dally after a shot if you want to record it on paper - you have about 10 seconds. 4] My rifle has a tapered barrel and it was impossible to keep the strap tight. It never slid off of the barrel but I did have to check it after every shot. 5] MagnetoSpeed Needs more videos on how to use the computer - paying specific attention to how many times to push the button and when.6] I was pleased with the "accuracy" of the velocity readings. This was my first attempt and relied on the expertise of the other shooters, on the range, who were more experienced. 7]Though the Sporter is the cheapest model I think it is worthy of a better case. I will be purchasing an after market case.
