I ordered the 1/2 x 28 and work as intended. I ordered one for my marlin 1895 11/16x24 and it will not screw all the way down. i sent it back and got another but it did the same thing. So it seem like the 1/2 x 28 will work but the 11/16x24 will not. Buyer beware

Cant go wrong with vortex, lifetime warranty. On this red dot battery is on the bottom. Good price here on optic planet. Red dot is a lower profile which worked good on my glock 17. I used a rear sight plate to make it work on my pistol.
